... And it finally happened, despite all kinds of challenges! (Double booking of the venue, generator failure, etc.) The 10th Fil-Chi Springfest Oishi Bike Challenge took place last March 25, 2012 along Macapagal Avenue.

Gulp Schlurp
As usual, I arrive home hungry and ready to devour whatever is on the table. Alas, my sister is cooking up (well, baking up...) yummy baked salmon! As delicious as it is, it takes quite a looong while to be done. I therefore diverted for the meantime to the fridge.
Surprise! Bottled milk tea my sister bought from Quincy, the nearby grocery.
It's about time. With all the craze of milk tea and C2's bottled one which is no match to the real thing, I was waiting for someone else to produce one with good results.
Not at all Banal Taal Volcano
An Israeli client needed to be toured around (thank corporate heavens for that excuse!) and where else can we head but to Tagaytay. After impressing him with Antonio's food, we headed to Taal. I was proud to share that Taal Volcano is the smallest known volcano, to which Fred was more than a little skeptic about.
Whether or not Taal Volcano is the smallest volcano (not all searches for the smallest volcano would give you Taal), going there and seeing the crater lake while enjoying the cool breeze or for the more brave ones, going down by the shore of the crater lake is truly worth a visit.

Tumpak with Nasi Lemak (Bull's Eye)
We visited Nasi Lemak in Robinson's Galleria because I wanted to post about their stingray. Much to our disappointment, we were informed by the waiter that they do not serve stingray anymore.
We did not go home in vain though. We were served really good food!

Hungry for Hungarian? Try Magyar!
We came across Magyar a long time ago. We were just checking out restaurants in Paseo de Magallanes and it greeted us with a big 'HELLO!" No, I don't speak Hungarian. I just know one word which is magyar meaning hello! I think it would surely be useful when I visit the country. :D
We fell in love with quaint restaurant the first time we ate there. We try to eat there as often as we could to support the never full (not the LV bag!) restaurant not just because it has good food but also because it is the only Hungarian restaurant we know.

Traces of the past in Casa Roces
When Fred arrived, I told him, "You have two choices. One, we eat turtle soup with Chinese food. Two, we eat Filipino food." He chose the latter, being courageous with everything save for what he puts in his mouth and actual pain.
So we headed to Malacanang Complex, to the corner past La Cocina de Tita Moning in search of Casa Roces.

Gotta Have Some Balls to Play Paintball
The first time we went to play paintball, I didn't hit anyone! This time, I finally did- multiple times! I have to admit it was just a lucky shot though. Everything was blurry (Due to nearsightedness) and with all the rain, I just stuck out my gun and fired away, praying I'm not wasting my bullets on shadows.
I'm so blessed to have friends who are game- rain or shine! It was raining quite hard but since we were there, everyone decided to go on anyway.
