Caffe Dolce for Girlfriends

I'm getting tired of dating guys, so I'm trying out dating girls now. You know, someone who would be more understanding of my petty daily woes and PMS.

Kidding aside, there's no special occasion just that it's been sometime since I saw my best friend Meh. She finally decided to visit me (yey!) and so I carefully chose the place where we can share good food and chat for hours.

Nothing else came to mind but Caffe Dolce. It's THE PLACE for girlfriends. With the interior so girly romantic. The wall is papered with roses in pastel colors and a cove decorated with plastic flowers, vases and more plastic flowers that you could almost smell real floral fragrance. There are even two big teddies sitting on chairs (though I didn't get a picture.). This really is the place for girly dates.

Not Happy with TKees

I think it's quite safe to say that nobody minds paying premium amount for excellent quality. The problem is when one pays a premium amount but doesn't get the quality that is due.

This is the case for TKees.

One sunday, I tripped as I cross the street from the parking lot to Cash & Carry. The culprit was the TKees I'm wearing. The thong gave out after just a little over a month's use. I must admit that I was cruel to my TKees using it the whole day not minding when I get it wet but I paid Php 2300.00 for a pair of flipflops. I expected it to be durable. Sad to say, it didn't live up to my expectations.

Van Gogh is Bipolar is worth top dollar

Are you looking for the perfect date? Perhaps with somebody you just got to know and you're afraid that you'd both run out of topics to discuss over dinner? Or perhaps you need a The Sims-like setup when you need to get your partner all well-fed and happy before you pop that difficult question? Or it could be as simple as you want to make your special someone feel, well, special? Ask me and I got you just the place!

No need to be afraid. There's no need to fly to Paris, nor to dine in any fancy restaurant. Just drive to Maginhawa Street in Sikatuna Village. There you'll find a quaint restaurant oddly called Van Gogh is Bipolar.

M&M's addiction

I have loved M&M's chocolates since I was a kid, who didn't? I only eat the Almond variant though. You know, the one with the yellow wrapper? The pieces a little bigger than the other M&M's?

I love cracking the thin chocolate candy crust then melting the chocolate away inside my mouth (yes, not in my hands!) then carefully chew the almonds until it's miniscule. I try to hoard as many almonds inside my mouth as I could before eating them. Oh, I absolutely love M&M's!!!

It never really got boring but after all these years, maker Mars Inc. surprised me. I'm not sure if it's just new to me or to everyone. I sure hope everybody hasn't been hiding this sweet secret from me for the longest time!

Ambon-Ambon Falls+Amansinaya ang saya saya

I have long fancied visiting Simbahan na Bato. It is tragic how I can't seem to find information nor picture about it online. Until finally, I found out that it's in Batangas inside the Las Haciendas boundaries.

Metrodeal offered an Amansinaya Mountain Resort day tour deal for only Php300.00 and after putting two and two  together, I realized this is the opportunity to explore Las Haciendas. Furthermore, near the resort is also the Ambon-Ambon falls, which we could visit as well. I love when I get to hit two birds in one stone.

Sigh of contentment in Brunei

Last year's end of Ramadan offered a long weekend. So I took the chance to visit a Muslim country. Sadly, my research wasn't as thorough as it should be.

1. Mosques (which are major tourist attractions in Muslim countries) are closed to non-Muslims during the month of ramadan.

2. Eid-ul-Fitr or Hari Raya (the end of ramadan) is based on the appearance of the moon, meaning, it is on a different date for every country.

But I made the trip. And it wasn't so bad.

Mind Museum, My kind of museum

We've been wanting to visit Mind Museum since before it opened. The problem was that since its opening, tickets for the weekend were always sold out. We had to delay for a couple of weeks before we were able to procure our much desired tickets. Until finally.

The whole day saturday, I was abuzz, excited to finally see the much raved about museum (Yeah, call me a geek or a nerd!). Everything about Mind Museum seemed to be the promised "world class" quality from the pictures to the website.

But being a souvenir-keeper, I got a little disappointed that our print outs are our tickets. I guess it's to be expected since it's becoming the trend.

So there we were 30 minutes late after 6pm since we got a little lost in Fort (I unintentionally deleted the map from my iphone.). We entered in a rush.
