A Tray of Gourmandise Patisserie

What girl is not in love with Paris? Or anything French?

I'm a girl and I have to admit, I'm GUILTY!

So when I read about French éclairs, I couldn't wait to try them.

Buko Pie from Nueva Vizcaya

I am no fan of Buko Pie.

I was offered some and said, "No, thank you." That was during lunch time.

By 3 pm, my stomach was truly growling with hunger. I foraged for some food but came up with nothing. Thankfully, a slice or three of the buko pie was still there. I had one to calm my grumbling tummy. Then, I had another one to silence my bewildered taste buds!

I am now a fan of buko pie! :) Only this particular one though.

Finally, another delivery to the north has been dispatched and returned! I was awaiting my buko pie. It's a good deal at Php 200 per 3 boxes.

Christmas has arrived early!!! :D Not just because of the colors but mostly because of the deliciousness of this pie.

It looks quite simple.

But see how thin it is? This way, it has the right balance of taste between  coconut and crust. The moist texture also helps a lot.

Yum! Yum!

Banana Chips from Oriental Mindoro

What are the differences between "banana crackers" and "banana chips"?

I found that there are two differences. The banana crackers hurt my gums when I eat too much. Also, the crackers are sweeter.

I have therefore determined that it's the Mikko "banana crackers" are for those with healthier gums and younger, particularly those with the sweet tooth. Meanwhile,  John-nette "banana chips" are for the older people who prefer to eat less hard snacks and a lot less sweet.

Whatever the differences are, these banana products are a joy to eat. :)

These treats are available wherever pasalubongs are sold in Oriental Mindoro, particularly in Caticlan Port. :)

Silvanas from Dumaguete

What I love about our fridge at home is how it sometimes magic foods that I love.

Sometimes it's Costa Brava marshmallow cake.

This time it's Sans Rival Cakes & Patries from Dumaguete's Silvanas!

I still have no idea where it came from. I've asked all my siblings and no one has a clue. Ho-hum. It must've just dropped there from heaven.

No wonder it tastes just like HEAVEN!

Hellu Lulu!

A dog of a best friend of mine is named Lulu. Dining in Lulu, it reminded me of this particular friend of mine. If she were a restaurant, this would probably how it would be. Hihi. :D

I'll tell you about her.

She's very simple yet fashionable, preferring to wear plain pieces jazzing her getup with an accent or two. (Most probably with something that glitters. :D) Oh, and chances are she'd be wearing something red, as it's her favorite color!

Ti Amo Cerchio

I remember when I was touring Male, Maldives with an Italian couple (thankfully not in their honeymoon!) I wanted to chat with them but they don't speak any english. At the time, the only Italian I know is "ti amo" which means "i love you". I could hardly strike up a conversation with that. I've come a long way with my Italian by now, thanks to the Italian restaurants filling my tummy with yummy food! Now I learned a new Italian word "cerchio" which means "circle or round" but how do I use that in a conversation with a random stranger? Hm.

Kulinarya Kitchen @ Rockwell, A Culinary Experience

I have found love!

It might be surprising that I met THEM in a mall I don't really like. *Sorry Rockwell! You're just too small and too pricy for me. This might be good sometimes though.*

No matter, with Kulinarya Kitchen, I don't really need more restaurants to choose from!

An Interesting Proposal

Last week, I received a proposal. NO! It has nothing to do with weddings. It's something infinitely more interesting. :)

My partner in crime received a text which promised free buffet diner + 3-days-2-nights free accommodation in some specific locations if he, along with another guest of his choice, would just sit for MINIMUM of 90 minutes presentation.

I find this funny because I've received calls of this same offer and didn't mind it because I just dismissed it as a scam. And so, on our way there, I already warned him that I'm going to laugh if it turned out to be one big sham.

Well, thankfully, it was no scam at all.
